Newport Pagnell Park

Updated: May 27, 2022

SO this newly refurbished park means something to me personally after being a guest speaker at a town council meeting last year.

As most of you know I’m a huge advocate for outside play even for young toddlers, even pre-walkers. I used to and still do, travel far and wide for a great park. It’s free and educational BUT Newport Pagnell was offering barely anything for this young demographic.

SO I went to the meeting and pitched some ideas. I was scared speaking out to a whole table of councillors but I managed to impress them and so I was asked last minute to choose a piece of equipment for a new park. .

I chose a slide with enclosed steps with a hand rail which is easy for little toddlers to safely navigate. I wanted a low to the ground slide which wasn’t too high or dangerous and I wanted it to have interactive features. I’m super happy with it and excited that one day Marlie can go to this park and play, giving parents of young kids somewhere to go that’s free and outside.

The rest of the park was designed by the Council and I think they’ve done a cracking job. Daisy's older now do she could enjoy most of the park equipment. We had a blast.

The park is located at the very end of Chicheley Street, use postcode MK16 9AR. The toddler section is enclosed. It’s going to be the perfect place to visit this spring, summer and great to take a picnic and visit my wonderful town.

Please let me know what you think of the park and how your young toddlers get on. (Not pictured - basketball court) .
