I was so impressed with how close this beach was that I had to share.
From Newport Pagnell it took 2 hours and 10 minutes, how impressive is that!
We arrived and grabbed a free parking spot along the seafront. Felixstowe wasn't the most amazing uk beach but it gave us the fix we needed. Sand, some pebbles, sea albeit a bit brown, amazing ice cream, great rides for the kids and good grub!
Things that are a must when you're there.
- Grab an ice cream from the parlour by the Pier. Expensive ice cream but delicious, I am not fan of Mr Whippy!! I have Nutella and Bueno. The kids had Strawberry and Bubblegum.
- Jump in the waves - of course!
- Build a sandcastle!
- Visit Beach Street link here. Great food and drink as well as boutique shops and a market. We really enjoyed it here.
- Go on the rides. They weren't too expensive, Our fave was the bouncy castle slide, water bumper boats and the runway train. We aren't fans of arcades so we just did the rides on the promenade which were brilliant.
When we left we spotted a really large play area called Felixstowe Holiday park play area, It was a large section of parks. I have drawn a map around the section we explored but maybe check out Felixstowe website before you go and plan further.
I will add some images below from our trip. Let me know if you visit, I'd love to hear about it.
